NYC Day Planner – Days 1&2

With almost 1 month to go I wanted to start sharing my daily plan’s with you guys.
These aren’t rigid, definite plans, as with all holidays and trips, things change, the weather could be awful or something might come up that’s more important, however I think its best to have a plan, especially with New York having so much to offer. So off we go..

Day 1 (Thurs) – Arrive Approx 17:20 + Transfer – Say 20:00 arrival at hotel.

Dinner, walk, etc. Hotel is on Lexington Avenue near Grand Central Station so the plan is to walk down Lexington Avenue to the Chrysler Building, take a right onto E 42nd Street and head to Grand Central & then onto Bryant Park and the New York Public Library.

Following this continue along 42nd till we get to 7th Avenue where we head North to Times Square!! After way too long spent taking it all in with Photo’s and tourist stuff head up 7th Avenue to 49th Street where we can go right towards the Rockefeller Center.

Lastly onto 5th Avenue to see St Patrick’s Cathedral at night-time before continuing back to Lexington Avenue and our hotel. Stopping off somewhere along the line for a late night dinner.

Day 2 (26th Fri) – Day 2 features mostly shopping, thought its best to get some in early and discover a little bit of the Garment District, Hudson Yard area as it’s not really covered in the open top bus tour that was have booked for a later day.

This day may also include a short trip over to the High Line starting at Hudson Yard right at the end of W 34th Street.

Friday evening we will head to Yankee stadium for the Yankee Game vs Oakland Athletics at 19:00, leave hotel at around 18:00 for 35 min subway journey. Plan is to eat near hotel before leaving or head to the Hard Rock Cafe at Yankee Stadium.

Are you planning a trip to NYC or have any tips? Let us know in the comments & make sure you check back later this week for the Day 3 plan.
