NYC Day Planner – Day 4

If you haven’t had a chance yet check days 1/2 and day 3 here and here 🙂

Following from those, day 4 covers very little especially compared to a day 3 which is full of different sights.

Day 4 starts off with a short subway trip down to  Bowling Green Station followed by a short walk to Battery Park. From here our NYC Pass gives us access to the ferry across to the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

The pass recommends that this can take up to 6 hours but I guess can be longer if you get lost in the Immigration Center or are just simply blown away by the beauty of the statue itself.

After taking in the amazing Statue of Liberty and all that history its back over to Manhattan for another short walk up to the 9/11 memorial and the new One World Trade Center.

To get there I’m planning on taking the scenic walk around to South Cove Park before heading up South End Avenue, down Albany Street and then taking a left once we see One World Trade Center looming over us.

The evening on day 3 after the 9/11 may be a quiet one as I understand that taking it all in especially with the museum and memorial can be quite a somber experience and I don’t think we will be in the mood for much else.

Check back in a couple of days for day 5 (Open top bus around Northern Manhattan).
